Life story Intervention through Narratives and Conversations (LINC)

The LINC program was developed in January 2015 by Raksha Mudar, PhD, CCC-SLP, and Clarion Mendes, MA, CCC-SLP/L. The purpose of LINC is to train graduate student clinicians to deliver personalized clinical care to individuals who have been diagnosed with dementia and other neurodegenerative conditions. Students are partnered one-on-one with residents and are responsible for developing individualized programs that: 1) emphasize the individual's abilities and interests, 2) facilitate increased verbal and non-verbal communication, and 3) decrease distressing behaviors associated with dementia.
